As Assistant Controller at Huhtamaki Netherlands, you ensure a tight and timely monthly end. You monitor the quality of the figures and know exactly how the result came about. You are the first point of contact for departmental budgets and support budget holders with insight and advice. Together with the Site Controller, you discuss deviations, translate analyses into improvement actions and monitor their progress. You actively switch between finance, production and other departments, so that decisions are substantiated and immediately executable in the workplace. In this role, you combine accuracy with collaboration and ensure that financial information is not only accurate, but also practically applicable to our daily operations.

As Assistant Controller, you are responsible for:

• Processing and controlling financial transactions and preparing clear reports.

• Connecting periodic balance sheet specifications with the correct substantiation.

• Analyzing monthly figures and discussing the results with the Site Controller.

• Preparing and monitoring departmental budgets and monitoring investment projects.

• Setting up, managing and controlling Power BI dashboards and making the right data available to colleagues.

• Providing management information, including KPI reports, that support the MT in decision-making and improvement initiatives.

What do we ask of you?

• A sharp eye for numbers and an eye for detail, with the ability to analyze financial data and translate it into clear areas for improvement for the organization.

• A proactive and independent attitude to work, where you take responsibility and take on projects expeditiously.

• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, orally and in writing, to explain complex information to colleagues in an understandable way.

• The ability to switch quickly between different activities in a dynamic production environment.

• Experience or interest in creating, managing and visualizing data in dashboards.

• A relevant education or work experience in finance, preferably at higher professional education level and with a few years of experience. Are you not yet experienced in everything, but do you want to further develop in this role? Then we would love to get to know you.

• Your salary — based on the weight of the job and your experience — is between €51,000 and €68,000 per year based on 40 hours per week, including 8% vacation allowance and a 13th month;
