Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance
Leeuwarden
40 hours
€ 47.000 - 63.000

Each product is controlled by our vision system, an advanced technology that automatically detects defects, anomalies and quality issues. Last year, you played an important role in further improving this system. Thanks to your technical view and sharp analyses, the vision system now works faster, recognizes anomalies more accurately and product quality has further improved. Not only have the machines been further developed, you have also developed strongly yourself. You have set up a maintenance structure that prevents failures instead of solving them, helped build new machine lines and continuously contributed to improvements to the production process.
What a development: from thinking about details to actively contributing to the future of our technology and to the development of sustainable packaging solutions.

Apply for this position

As a Maintenance Engineer at the Huhtamaki Fiber Technology pilot plant, you will work on the development of new machine lines for the future. These lines are continuously being developed to meet the highest requirements in terms of reliability, efficiency and innovation. You are responsible for developing and implementing a maintenance strategy that focuses on stability and predictive maintenance. In addition, you analyze failures, carry out preventive maintenance and work out structural improvements that are directly fed back to the engineering team. Your role goes beyond resolving faults: you review technical reports, plan and organize maintenance activities and ensure that the lines remain available for further testing and optimization. With your technical knowledge, you actively contribute to improving and future-proofing our new generation of production lines.

Curious about the tasks you're going to perform?

• Drafting, implementing and continuously improving a maintenance plan with a focus on preventive and predictive maintenance.

• Identifying, resolving and structurally resolving mechanical, electrical and control faults.

• Prepare and carry out scheduled maintenance during production downtime.

• Assessing and following up on safety and maintenance reports from production.

• Planning repairs and maintenance: where you organize material, capacity and lead time.

Where will you work?

We are Huhtamaki Fiber Technology, the international R&D center and machine line developer of the major packaging company Huhtamaki. We passionately develop machine lines that make it possible to produce sustainable packaging for, among others, the food industry. We have a modern test center, a pilot plant and various other departments under one roof established. We are all about innovation, sustainable innovation! Not only because our customers and end users from the global retail market ask for it every day, but also because we ourselves strive for a world with sustainable packaging materials.
