About the position

As an HR Business Partner, you provide direction in an organization that is in full development. You translate plans into clear steps, keep an overview and help you choose what really has priority. You can easily switch between different levels in the organization. You are visible in the factory, talk to managers and employees about what is going on and actively bring this to the MT. You know when it's time to listen and when it's time to move on. You dare to make choices, speak up and keep up the momentum. In doing so, you combine Franeker's down-to-earth, practical skills with the strength of an international organization. In addition, you play a role in topics that are important organization-wide, such as collective labor agreement negotiations, national HR projects within Huhtamaki and international initiatives that are rolled out locally in Franeker. Together with your HR colleagues in Franeker and Leeuwarden, you will work on themes such as leadership, absenteeism, cooperation and digitization. You get ideas from international colleagues and translate them into what works here. This is how you help build a factory that is sturdy again, with clear roles, short lines of communication and more responsibility within the teams.

In practice, this means that you

• Encourages and appeals to managers to take their role in absenteeism, conversations and HR matters, so that responsibility lies where it belongs

• Bring focus and structure to the organization, determine what is now a priority, puts the basics in order and ensures that plans are actually implemented

• An onboarding setup that is clear, efficient and personal, so that new colleagues quickly feel part of the team and organization

• Translates signals from the organization into concrete improvements and ensures that HR is involved in time, so that plans work in practice

• Plays an active role within the MT and contributes to the choices that guide the factory and employees

• Collaborate intensively with your HR colleagues in Franeker and Leeuwarden, reinforcing each other in daily operations and on strategic themes.

• Brings clarity and trust to collaboration within the factory and in the office by being visible, listening and not avoiding difficult topics

What do we ask of you?

• You have at least 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager, preferably in a production environment

• You stand firm and keep an overview, even when the pressure is high

• You get energy from improving and building: making processes smarter, introducing new ways of working and breaking existing patterns

• You can easily take people along because you speak clear language and make complex things simple

• You combine strategic insight with a hands-on approach: you think along and participate

• You are visible in the organization and switch smoothly between the workplace, management and international colleagues

• You are fluent in Dutch and English

What do you get from us?

• As an HR Business Partner, you will be employed directly by us, we like to retain good people.

• Your salary - based on the weight of the job and your experience - is between €73,000 and €98,000 per year based on 40 hours per week, including vacation allowance of 8% and a 13th month;

• A nice bonus scheme of up to 10% of your annual salary (depending on individual and business performance);
